Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance range earned her popular acclaim across a range of genres from period drama to thrillers and action. Johansson, the daughter of a renowned architect, as well as producer, was born in New York City. Hunter was the twin of her younger sister. She developed an interest in acting at a young age, and began auditioning for commercials at age seven. She enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly following and then was a student at the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to further her education. At the age of eight old, Johansson starred alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in Off-Broadway productions. At the age of nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was later seen as a character in Just Cause (1995) but her debut came in Manny & Lo (1996) an upcoming film that follows siblings who are orphaned and run away. Her next film won critical acclaim for her role as a teenage girl who had a life-threatening accident The Horse Whisperer (1998) and she gained further attention for her role as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). She gained fame for her portrayal of Nell Jones on the CBS hit series NCIS Los Angeles. This award-winning actor was a principal character on the show. Apart from appearing in the show she's also a skilled stage actress. She delivered stunning performances in Wildflower and other plays. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry at an early age. It was her love of acting as young. Smith landed a debut acting job when she was just six with parents' help. In a television commercial, she starred as Dannon Yogurt. Similar to other novice actors in the same position the actress honed her talents on the stage. While working on different productions in the USA she made her stage debut with Wildflower. She was a student at in the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
